The latest version of my LocoCtrl board arrived today from JLCPCB. This afternoon I soldered all components on it and it’s working. Finally I put it into my VT98 locomotive.I added some status LEDs to the board – even if they aint visible outside the locomotive. Anyway – one step forward in the development!
Today my next release of PCB board arrived. Unfortunaly it has two ground connection issues in the ground connection, which I made in the contruction period. So – one more trial…By the way – this reconstruction was required because the privious version was to huge to fit into the locomotive.
I have one diesel locomotive left to get migrated to the Bluerailtrain decoder. One out of four. Now I wanted to order the very last required decoder and I had to understand, that Blueraintrains stopped their production. There is not one single decoder left on the market. Needless to mention, that I feel pi**ed…
I’m really disappointed, because it was an awesome solution and I already invested into three decoders for my remaining locomotives.
Well – what are the lessons learned? I need to develop my own decoders. Then I know, that I have them available, when they are needed.
